Aurum IT Park sits in the Murarji Nagar / Passpoli pocket of Powai — close enough to Saki Vihar Road to be part of the same working district, far enough off it that visitors often underestimate the last stretch of the journey.
We are opposite the lane of L&T Gate No. 6, a short drive away. Most guests visiting Aurum stay with us for one of four reasons.
Who visits, and what the trip looks like
Project and delivery teams. The most common: three to six people from another city, here for a sprint, a transition, an audit or a go-live. Stays run a week to a couple of months, and almost always extend at least once. They share rooms, need one consolidated invoice, and want somewhere they can get to the office without a daily fight.
Client and vendor visits. Two or three nights, frequently booked at short notice. Often a review meeting followed by a working session that runs longer than planned.
Interview candidates. One night before a panel. A quiet room and a working desk are what matter; the rest of the hotel is irrelevant to them.
Trainers, consultants and auditors. A week at a time, working in the evening after a full day on site.
Practical notes for the commute
- Give the driver the full address, not the park name. "Aurum IT Park, Murarji Nagar, Passpoli, Powai" works. The park name alone does not always land.
- Allow more time than the distance suggests. This is a short journey in kilometres, but Powai’s internal roads slow down badly between roughly 9 and 10:30 AM.
- Ask which building and which gate. Office parks have multiple towers and separate entrances; your host will know, and it saves ten minutes of walking.
- Visitor passes take time on a first visit. Build in fifteen minutes beyond your meeting time.
- Autos are readily available on Saki Vihar Road; app cabs work well in this pocket, including late.
What corporate guests ask us for
- GST invoices with correct company billing. Send the exact billing name and GSTIN at booking and it will be on the invoice first time — this is the request most likely to cause trouble later if it is wrong.
- Wi-Fi that holds a video call. Standups, client calls and VPN sessions from the room in the evening.
- Early breakfast. A 9 AM start means leaving by 8:15. Buffet breakfast is served each morning at our in-house restaurant.
- Rooms that sleep three. The Banyan Trio takes up to 3 guests — how most project teams control cost.
- Weekly and monthly rates. For anything past a week, ask rather than booking night by night. The Teak Studio has a kitchenette and is priced for longer stays.
- Flexible extensions. Projects slip. Being independently run, we can usually extend on a phone call rather than a re-booking.
- 24×7 front desk for late finishes and flights that land at odd hours.
Eating around here
The L&T gate cluster opposite us feeds this district every working day — Snacks and Bites, Santosh Hotel, Satkar Kitchen and Patil Diamond Chinese Corner are all a few minutes on foot, and Sealand Royal Kitchen & Bar is the usual choice when a team wants to eat together after work. Our Powai restaurant guide has the full list, and the nightlife guide covers the lounges if the evening runs on.
The wider Powai office belt
Aurum is one of many. Saki Vihar Road and the surrounding pocket hold L&T Business Park, ATL Corporate Park, Prima Bay, Universal Business Park, Cignus Powai, Hiranandani Business Park and more — our Powai corporate travel guide has the full directory grouped by travel time, plus advice on team bookings and rate contracts.
If your visit also touches SEEPZ or MIDC in Andheri East, see the SEEPZ and MIDC guide. For arrival logistics, the directions page has metro, rail and airport distances.
Booking for a team
- One message, whole list. Names, arrival dates and sharing arrangement on WhatsApp — we hold the rooms together and consolidate billing.
- Billing entity and GSTIN upfront, so the invoice is right the first time.
- Be realistic about duration. If a "two week" engagement is likely six, the monthly rate is materially better.
- Ask about a rate contract if your company sends people to Powai regularly — we agree terms directly rather than through a chain’s corporate desk.
