Our story
The hotel that outlasted its middlemen.
Sixteen years, one address, and a simple belief: a small hotel can still feel personal.
2010 — Beginnings
Lake Bloom Residency opened its doors in Powai in 2010, opposite the lane of L&T Gate No. 6 — an address chosen for the people it serves: engineers on project postings, families visiting the neighbourhood, and travellers who want Powai's calm without Powai's five-star bill.
The aggregator years
Like many independent hotels in India, we spent years operating under national hospitality brands and booking platforms. Those partnerships brought guests from across the country — and taught us exactly what standardised hospitality gets right, and where it falls short of what a guest actually needs at the front desk.
2025 — The renovation
We rebuilt every one of our 17 rooms into four modern formats — the Teak Studio with kitchenette for long stays, The Mahogany Soak (our signature and only room with a full bathtub), the Cedar Deluxe for couples and business travellers, and the Banyan Trio for groups and families. New interiors, new comfort standards, same honest pricing.
2026 — Independent again
In August 2026, Lake Bloom Residency became fully independent. Every booking, every rate and every guest relationship is now handled directly by us. No aggregator commissions means better rates for you and better care from us — the way a 17-room hotel is supposed to work.
