That single fact shapes most of what happens at our front desk, because the L&T campus on Saki Vihar Road is not one office. It is a cluster of businesses, each running its own projects, audits, reviews and vendor visits, and each sending people to Powai all year round.

Know your gate before you travel
This is the single most useful thing we can tell a first-time visitor. The campus has multiple gates, and which one you need depends entirely on which business and which building you are visiting.
- Ask your host for the gate number, not just the address. "L&T Powai" will get a driver to the general area and no further.
- We are opposite Gate No. 6. If your meeting is at a building served by that gate, you can walk. If it is at another gate, it is a very short auto ride rather than a walk.
- Security takes time. Visitor passes, ID verification and escorting are standard on a campus with defence and energy businesses. Allow 20–30 minutes beyond your arrival time for a first visit.
- Carry the photo ID you registered with. Campus security will check it against the visitor record.
Who stays with us, and for how long
Project and audit teams. Three to six people from another office, here for anything from a week to two months. They share rooms, need one consolidated invoice, and almost always extend at least once.
Vendor and supplier visits. Two or three nights, often at short notice, usually a technical discussion followed by a site walk.
Interview candidates. One night before a panel. A quiet room and a working desk matter more than anything else in the building.
Contractors and commissioning crews. The longest stays we see. Shift patterns mean early departures and late returns, and these guests appreciate a front desk that does not treat 5 AM as unusual.
Training programmes. A week at a time, several participants, often a mix of people who have never met.

- Early breakfast. A 9 AM start across the road means leaving by 8:30. Buffet breakfast is served each morning at our in-house restaurant.

- Weekly and monthly rates for anything beyond a week. Ask rather than booking night by night.
- Wi-Fi that holds a call with the home office in another time zone.
- Flexibility on extensions. Projects slip. Being independently run, we can usually extend on a phone call.

Beyond the campus

Booking for a team
- Send the whole list at once on WhatsApp — names, arrival dates, sharing arrangement. We hold the rooms together and consolidate the billing.
- Give the exact billing entity and GSTIN upfront. With ten L&T businesses in the cluster, "L&T" on an invoice is not enough for most finance teams.
- Be honest about duration. If a "two week" job is realistically six, the monthly rate is materially better than booking fortnights.
- Ask about a rate contract if your business sends people here regularly. We can agree terms directly rather than through a chain’s corporate desk.
