The Powai convention centre is a conference-and-congress venue rather than an exhibition ground, so the calendar skews towards multi-day professional gatherings. Over the years it has hosted ophthalmology and trauma congresses drawing well over a thousand delegates, retail and shopping-centre industry forums, food service and HoReCa conferences, technology and analytics summits, and jewellery-sector conclaves.
Two things follow from that mix, and both matter when you book a room:
- Delegates travel in groups, not alone. A hospital sends four doctors. A brand sends a marketing team. An association brings its office bearers and support staff. Rarely does everyone in that group need — or get budget for — the same category of room.
