# Our Story — Lake Bloom Residency, Powai

**2010 — Beginnings.** Lake Bloom Residency opened in Powai, opposite the lane of L&T Gate No. 6 — serving engineers on project postings, visiting families and travellers who want Powai's calm without five-star bills.

**The aggregator years.** For years the hotel operated under national hospitality brands and booking platforms, hosting thousands of guests and learning exactly where standardised hospitality falls short.

**2025 — The renovation.** All 17 rooms were rebuilt into four modern formats: the Teak Studio (kitchenette, long stays), The Mahogany Soak (signature bathtub studio), the Cedar Deluxe (couples/business) and the Banyan Trio (groups/families).

**2026 — Independent again.** From August 2026, every booking, rate and guest relationship is handled directly by the hotel. No aggregator commissions — better rates for guests, direct care from a 17-room team.
